Montenegrin Krstač is a national, premium, white, dry wine, made of the grapes of the autochtonous grape variety “Krstač”. This variety had been grown from ancient times in the vineyards of Podgorica’s viticultural area. It is specific for the berry size and form of the bunch which resembles the cross, after which it took its name.
On Ćemovsko field it is grown on the microlocality “Nikolj Crkva“,and all efforts to transfer it to another area failed. The wine is on the transition from Mediterranean to continetal type, light gold colour with greenish reflection and nicely expressed fruity aroma of peach and pear.It is light bodied, which makes it fresh on palate and easy drinking
